GLOBAL Tourism Business Association President Michelle Taylan flew to Brunei for a meeting with Philippine Ambassador Marian Jocelyn Tirol-Ignacio, Brunei acting director for Tourism Development Yang Mulia Dayang Salinah Binthi Haji Mohd Salleh, Association of Travel Agents Brunei Deputy President Haji Zainal Harun and other tourism sector representatives on June 11, 2024.The GTBA will be holding its second General Membership Assembly in Brunei , as part of its sixth founding anniversary.
We want to facilitate increased tourism exchange between thetwo countries and allow our members to tap into more networks in the Association of Southeast Asian region,' Taylan said.The GTBA events come on the heels of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s state visit to Brunei, wherein a memorandum of understanding for tourism cooperation was signed.
