Manchester City had Rodri sent off against Nottingham Forest and Pep Guardiola was angry with the player and the referee.
Pep Guardiola revealed Rodri had apologised to his Manchester City teammates after he was sent off during the win against Nottingham Forest at the Etihad.
But while Guardiola said Rodri had to learn to control his emotions after seeing red, he also slammed the performance of referee Anthony Taylor, who booked 10 players in the game as well as dismissing Rodri and cautioning Guardiola himself. "It’s eight years here and we know each other quite well. I said at half-time to be careful. Relax, and control your emotions. Unfortunately, Rodri didn’t do it. We have to accept it, the decision of, I don’t know the name of the referee.
Guardiola said the game changed after 35 minutes and said Taylor lost control of proceedings at that point, insisting neither City nor Forest were to blame for that. Guardiola was booked when he complained about the decision to show Akanji a yellow card, but said Rodri had apologised to his teammates after the game.
