Pep Guardiola is used to winning the Premier League, but still maintains it’s tougher than the Champions League MCFC

Manchester City are yet to win a Champions League trophy under Pep Guardiola – or under any other manager for that matter – but the Spaniard still maintains the Premier League is ‘more difficult’ to win.

However, when speaking prior to his side’s final day clash, Guardiola was still adamant the Premier League is the tougher competition. “It’s satisfying because it’s every day. When you fight for the Premier League and have success right at the end, it gives you a sense that you enjoy a lot. We are happier in our lives when you win.

But, whilst Guardiola still refuses to accept the Champions League is tougher despite having no success in it with City yet, he made it clear he still held the competition in high regard.“I’m not saying the Champions League is not important – we’re mad, crazy to win it,” he said.“We’d love to be in Paris [in the final] next week but to win 38 games, rather than six, eight or nine games, is different.
