Sabato De Sarno , the current creative director of Gucci, has been instrumental in shaping a multidisciplinary approach for the Italian fashion house. His vision extends beyond fashion, encompassing art, design, literature, publishing, and architecture. This vision is now brought to life in Gucci stores through a unique installation series titled ' Endless Narratives '.
De Sarno's window displays resemble interactive libraries, featuring shelves laden with books, artifacts, and intriguing pieces arranged to create the illusion of an endless infinity mirror. This surreal and futuristic aesthetic creates a captivating journey through time and culture. Interspersed among the books and objects are pieces from De Sarno's recent collections, including his reinterpretations of Gucci's iconic Jackie handbag. 'Endless Narratives' also features a collaboration with Italian visual artist Luca Pignatelli, a former architect known for his exploration of civilization, memory, and time through classical motifs and antiquity. Pignatelli has contributed 80 limited-edition artworks, showcasing his signature techniques of sugar lift and collage, transforming ordinary materials into objects of profound meaning.
