Greggs superfans Louise and Connor were called 'iconic' after visiting the bakery for their 'unconventional wedding breakfast'
A bride ditched her wedding guests to go and enjoy a Greggs - with her favourite snap of the day being her tucking into a doughnut alone. Louise Clark, 27, and Connor Clark, 28, were married at a registry office in Glasgow, Scotland, on 3 August and decided to head to their 'favourite spot' for a snack and some alone time away from their guests.
Many users branded the pair 'iconic' in the comments for their untraditional idea. The popular food chain is becoming a favourite amongst celebrities, with singer, Olly Murs throwing a Greggs-inspired baby shower for his wife and most recently, reality TV star Vicky Pattison holding a Greggs-inspired wedding reception.
"The staff were amazing and made it really special. One of them said 'can I hold your veil?' I didn't think these pictures would be as good as they were. It was just the right thing. When I got the photos I was blown away, they were actually my favourite pictures - especially the one of me eating the doughnut.
"My husband and I shared one doughnut because we knew we were going for food so I brought the other doughnut with me. They said 'no way, you did not go to Greggs. That is so you'. They were probably waiting around thinking 'where are they? There's no chance they went to Greggs'." "That was one of our early dates. We couldn't afford anything else. We wanted to keep up the tradition. It's definitely a regular occurrence in our family."
