The Oasis star's Epiphone Les Paul electric guitar which he used in the run-up to the release of the 1994 album Definitely Maybe fetched £132,000 - almost double its £60,000-£80,000 estimate.
Three guitars belonging to Noel Gallagher today sold for a whopping £216,000 after a tense bidding war prompted by the Oasis reunion.
