Around 70 students gathered at Johnnie Sims Park and Meyer Park Wednesday morning to take part in National Bike to School Day.

Among the group was the father of a sixth grade student, who both say biking is one of their hobbies. “It makes me feel awesome and I just go along with him,” said Kyle’s father, Fabrizio. “We ride, like he said in the neighborhood, sometimes we come over here, go to the beach and ride the bicycle. We kind of ride quite a bit.”All students will depart from school at 3 p.m. Students bicycling to Meyer Park on East 22nd Avenue will arrive at 3:15 p.m. Students bicycling to Sims Park on West Third Street will arrive at 3:30 p.m.
