A gunshot was fired at a school bus in the Coatesville Area School District Thursday afternoon. The high school football game between Coatesville and Downingtown East was postponed as a result.

Thursday night’s high school football game between Coatesville and Downingtown East was postponed as a result. No makeup date was announced at the time of publishing. “The driver reported that the bullet went through the windshield but fortunately did not strike anyone and no one was injured,” the release stated.“Our full attention is on addressing the issue and the protection of our students,” said the statement. “We are working with police to thoroughly understand the details of what happened and ensure that the students on this bus receive our full support in every way.
