H-E-B's dedication to Earth Day goes beyond free bags. Employees are actively involved in beautification efforts throughout Texas. Throughout April, they've volunteered at tree plantings, community cleanups, and other outdoor events. In San Antonio , H-E-B partnered with Spurs star Victor Wembanyama to surprise students with a tree-planting and gardening project. This initiative aligns with H-E-B's Read 3 program, promoting healthy eating and environmental awareness.
H-E-B's impact extends to schools as well. Their annual Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge saw a record-breaking 675 Texas schools participate, collecting over five million plastic bags. These are just a few examples of how H-E-B is making a positive difference in communities across the state.
