The fire in Hailsham is being treated as suspected deliberate ignition, police say.
A number of children had to be evacuated after what is believed to be a deliberately-lit fire at a football ground in East Sussex.
“Fire crews are on site, and we thank them, and our volunteers... for their efforts in tackling the blaze and saving equipment,” a club spokesman added.Two fire engines from Eastbourne tackled the fire, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service saidPolice said enquiries into the incident were ongoing and no arrests had been made.
