But a range of services is available for a fraction of the retail price at vocational education institutions such as TAFE, including haircuts, beauty and skincare treatments and massages. “They want to please, they want to do well,” she said. “It’s wonderful. It’s building skills for them. It’s so great for the clients.”
Hall is also a client of the beauty salon where a lash and brow tint from a TAFE student costs just $16. Students also provide manicures and pedicures , massages , facials and waxing .Besides hair and beauty, TAFE offers other services at a bargain price to boost student’s job skills. Student-run restaurants are open to the public at TAFE campuses across Sydney, with three-course meals costing as little as $25.
