Nottsbus On Demand, a popular bus service in Nottinghamshire, is offering half-price fares throughout December and January. The service operates in Mansfield and Newark, providing evening transport to passengers.
Passengers are being offered a half-price deal on a popular Nottinghamshire bus service throughout December and January. Nottsbus On Demand, which operates an evening service in parts of Mansfield and Newark, is offering journeys to passengers on those routes for just £1. The half-price offer is being run in partnership with Stagecoach, which runs the service on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council. The Mansfield and Newark evening services operate Monday through Saturday from 7.
30pm until midnight. Nottsbus On Demand allows passengers to select a pick-up and drop-off point before being matched up with the nearest bus. Let us know here In addition to the two evening services covered by the festive offer, areas served by the on-demand buses include Ruddington, Tollerton, and Ollerton. Councillor Neil Clarke, the cabinet member for transport and environment at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: 'With it only costing a pound throughout December and January, it helps take away the stress of having to find a parking space and paying to park. 'It can be easy to feel isolated over the festive period and can be a difficult time for some, so getting out and about and keeping busy can help.' The county council has confirmed that Nottsbus On Demand will be operating a normal Christmas Eve service, except in the Mansfield and Newark evening zones. There will be no service on Christmas Day or Boxing Day, whilst normal service will resume between December 27 and December 30. The Mansfield and Newark evening zones will once again not be served on New Year's Eve and there will be no service at all on New Year's Day, before normal services resume on January
