Halle Berry starred as the flirtatious feline in the 2004 Catwoman film.

Have YOU got a story? Email [email protected] Halle Berry reflected on her 2004 film, Catwoman, and admitted that she 'hated' the backlash the movie received upon its release 20 years earlier.

Catwoman premiered in theaters in July 2004 - and on a budget of $100 million, raked in $82.4 million in the box office. The film also garnered negative reviews, and currently has a score of 8% on Rotten Tomatoes The beauty later added, 'I hated that it got all put on me, and I hate that, to this day, it's failure. I know I can carry it. I still have a career 20 years later. It's just part of my story.'

Denise added, 'A catsuit, by definition, everything is covered up. We thought it'd be cool to be more rock & roll and bare. Halle was famous for wearing a bikini in her Bond movie, and we were like, why not?' Halle also stated, 'Fans were upset about the suit. It was something different, but in our minds, why keep remaking Catwoman if you're not going to take risks and bring something different to it?'

'I had the time of my life. I worked my a** off to embody a cat in so many ways, psychologically and physically.' Three years before taking on the leading role in Catwoman, Berry starred in the 2001 film, Monster's Ball. The following year, she won an Oscar for Best Actress due to her performance in the movie.

It was reported last week that Berry and Glenn Close, 77, would join the reality-star-turned actress Kardashian, 43 in the series. It's unclear at the moment who will step in to replace Berry in the series, and it's unknown what character she'll be playing.
