Halo Infinite Season 4 arrives later this month on June 20, with the new Career Rank system.
343 Industries has just shared a first look at the Career Rank system which arrives in Halo Infinite this month, and which will apparently"feel most like MCC's progression system.", and will apparently be a little like the progression systems in Halo: Reach and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
First there are tiers: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, and onyx. Within those tiers are ranks, which run from cadet to general, and which are again broken up into"smaller increments" known as grades. 343's example is:"If you are a Bronze Private Grade 1, you’d work through Bronze Private Grade 2 and Bronze Private Grade 3 in order to achieve Bronze Lance Corporal Grade 1.
Your Career Rank will be shown in the match intro, on your profile, in the Post-Game Carnage Report, and elsewhere too."Ultimately, we wanted to make sure that we are recognizing the time you invest in Halo Infinite. Ensuring that your Career Rank shows up and is visible to all whenever and wherever possible is key to that celebration."
343 emphasizes that Career Rank won't factor in your previous game history but will start tracking your progress in Halo Infinite after it arrives on June 20. Some ranks will also award nameplates and armor, weapon, and vehicle emblems. Season 4 and Career Rank arrive for Halo Infinite on June 20 along with new maps and more.
