John Rankin's side picked up their first three points after a hard-fought win over the Pars

Hamilton Accies landed their first victory back in the Scottish Championship after a narrow win over struggling Dunfermline .

So after a lot of late pressure on the Accies goal, boss John Rankin will be relieved to get that first win under his belt, which takes the South Lanarkshire side up to fifth in the table. Scott Martin collected the ball in midfield, spun his marker and played a one-two with Stephen Hendrie then slipping him in down the left for a cross. The wing-back whipped in a tremendous delivery to the back post for Kevin O'Hara, who caught it on the volley and forced Pars keeper Denis Mehmet into a stunning one-handed save, tipping the ball onto the crossbar.

It took the Pars 42 minutes to get their first real sight at goal when Chris Kane did well to tee-up Kan Ritchie-Hosler on the edge of the box, but he blazed his strike over the bar from 20-yards and they went into break trailing. The Pars were still very much in the game and they had a huge chance to level in 67 minutes when the ball broke to debutant Josh Cooper just moments after he climbed off the bench to replace Kieran Ngwenya. But, on the stretch, he could only find the side-netting from six yards.
