'This funding will ensure that the public have access to a health service that works for them'
Christina McKelvie MSP has welcomed the announcement of £30 million by the Scottish Government to reduce NHS waiting times.
The SNP MSP for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse, reacted to the announcement by Neil Gray, the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Health Social Care, who said the action will “help Scotland’s NHS maximise capacity, build greater resilience and deliver year-on-year reductions in the number of patients who have waited too long for treatment.
“This targeted £30 million investment will ensure that people in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse have greater access to appointments and procedures and continue the work to reduce the number of people waiting too long for treatment.
