Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team are increasing their patrols of the area
Armed police descended on a Leeds street last night after masked men with machetes caused a disturbance.
The masked men ran off towards Bayswater Road and Harehills Road. Despite a search, police were not able to locate the suspects.No one was found injured. Police recovered two machetes nearby as well as a bag containing what is believed to be Class A drugs. West Yorkshire Police are asking anyone who has any information or who witnessed what happened to get in touch via 101, quoting reference number 13220465395. Police can also be contacted through their online live chat.
"A witness reported hearing a loud bang. Armed officers were deployed to the scene and confirmed the noise was a window at an address having been broken with a brick.
