A Harris County deputy has been shot while pursuing an armed robber in Spring, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
Deputy constables spotted the suspect’s vehicle after he robbed two Academy Sports and Outdoors with an AR-15. When the suspect refused to surrender, a car chase ensued.The chase ended in the 5300 block of Slashwood Lane in Spring , and the suspect shot a deputy before barricading himself in a nearby house. Deputy constables surrounded the premises, and the suspect was eventually taken into custody.
Authorities are currently investigating the scene where the shooting occurred.This is a developing story.
