Everett was investigated after he advertised some of the cars on Facebook. He did not have a license to sell the cars. He pleaded guilty to a violation for selling cars without a license, and paid a $1,059.25 fine in 2022. Everett maintained he did not know odometers were getting rolled back and he didn’t know a license was required to sell more than seven cars per year.
