Harrison Ford, the legendary Hollywood actor, unveils a new side to himself in a series of short films alongside Glenmorangie, Scotland's celebrated single malt whisky. Ford travels to the heart of Glenmorangie's Highland distillery, immersing himself in the world of whisky making and experiencing authentic Scottish culture.
Harrison Ford, a cinematic icon and one of Hollywood's most celebrated leading men, is venturing into uncharted territory with his latest role. For over seven decades, Ford has captivated audiences with his iconic portrayals, particularly his unforgettable turn as Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise. However, his upcoming project takes him on a journey far removed from the galaxies far, far away.
Ford has joined forces with Glenmorangie, one of Scotland's premier single malt whiskies, for a series of short episodic films directed by actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton. The series offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Ford's exploration of Glenmorangie's Highland home, where he discovers the artistry and dedication behind each bottle of this renowned whisky. Ford immerses himself in the authentic Scottish experience, from grappling with the nuances of Scottish pronunciation and kilt etiquette to forging connections with locals and distillery workers over a dram of single malt. The filming style is unconventional and deliberately 'off-script,' capturing spontaneous moments and Ford's genuine interactions with the Glenmorangie team. The series comprises 12 episodes, showcasing the picturesque north-east Highlands of Scotland, from the historic distillery in Tain, where Glenmorangie has been crafted for over 180 years, to the dramatic landscapes surrounding Loch Glass. Ford is accompanied by an unlikely cast of characters: the actual Glenmorangie distillery team, including master whisky maker Dr Bill Lumsden (recently awarded an MBE for his contributions to the whisky industry), alongside a selection of whiskies from Glenmorangie's range, including the Original 12 Years Old and Glenmorangie Infinita 18 Years Old. The narrative is further enriched by still images captured by acclaimed fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey, portraying Ford in a new light, donning a stylish Scottish kilt designed by streetwear brand Jil Sander.
