Call handler Beth McInnes was working the night shift at Johnstone Operations Control room when she got the call from a frightened woman who was terrified as plumes of smoke came through her door.
A harrowing 999 call has captured the terror of a Glasgow woman left frightened for her life following a blaze in her flat.

SFRS is now recruiting for Operations Control staff across its three sites in Johnstone, Dundee, and Edinburgh.
Beth spent nearly a decade working in hospitality before making the bold decision to pursue a new career in the emergency services.
