Harry Amass appeared visibly frustrated before a recent match, despite his strong performance and prominent role during Manchester United's pre-season tour. Despite expectations, Amass has not yet secured his debut match for the first team.
Harry Amass looked a tad frustrated at something before Manchester United 's Under-21s played Altrincham last week. The youngster needed an arm placed around him as he returned to the dressing room to prepare for kick-off but subsequently delivered a strong performance.
Amass excelled during the United States pre-season tour and travelled to Wembley for the Community Shield. Many expected him to make his debut against Manchester City in that game but he was left out of the squad and only had the opportunity to be around the team instead.ALSO READ: United star reveals four instructions he received from Amorim
Considering Shaw and Malacia were unavailable, Amass would have seen the start of the season as the perfect chance to make his debut but he's continued to play for the U21s. Amass watched from home as a midfielder played in his position and that seemed bizarre as former manager Erik ten Hag clearly rated him throughout the pre-season schedule.
It's obvious what Amass will be thinking: why would hebe given a first-team debut now if he wasn't when the two senior left-backs were injured? It's not been a surprise to see reports linking Amass with a move away emerge but that doesn't mean his Old Trafford dream is over.
