Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to attend separate events, thousands of miles apart. Harry is set to appear at the New York Times DealBook Conference in New York City later on Wednesday.
The couple's last public appearance together was on August 18, over 100 days ago, during their four-day trip to Colombia. Since then, they have only been seen together once in a video message shared on November 8, sent to a United Nations conference in Colombia on ending violence against children. Earlier this autumn, Harry embarked on a two-week solo trip, visiting New York, London, and Southern Africa, while Meghan made a glamorous red-carpet appearance, sparking curiosity at the time. Harry's solo trip to Canada has also generated interest, particularly since Meghan had joined him on a visit to Vancouver in February earlier this year.
A friend told People: "What we are seeing is a functional and healthy relationship with two working partners, not the contrary." In a segment from an event, Meghan remarks: "When you show up in a community, you find that group that makes you feel like home but oftentimes you also find yourself again."
