England captain Harry Kane has taken to social media to aim a sly dig at teammate Kyle Walker ahead of their UEFA Nations League game against the Republic of Ireland.
The 31-year-old striker was benched for England’s 3-0 win over Greece, days after criticising his fellow players for, in his opinion, putting their clubs ahead of their country. Nine players, including Declan Rice, Jack Grealish, and Cole Palmer returned to their clubs to focus on their fitness rather than play in the UEFA Nations League.
Thankfully for Lee Carsley’s side, they had more than enough firepower to dispatch the Greeks, with goals from Ollie Watkins, Curtis Jones, and an own goal by Odisseas Vlachodimos securing all three points.England sit top of their UEFA Nations League group with 12 points from five games as they aim to win their first piece of silverware since 1966.to poke fun at Walker, 34, after beating him at a game of water volleyball.
The striker had his most prolific season under the German manager, scoring 44 goals in just 45 games across all competitions for the club.
