The centre-back has had a turbulent time at Old Trafford since making the £80m move from Leicester City in 2019. Things started well for Maguire with the Red Devils, quickly being made captain by then manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but struggles set in and he was in and out of the team under Erik ten Hag.
‘But all the signs are positive at the moment and the chat that I’m having is really positive.’ Maguire was in the starting line-up as Manchester United beat Man City on Sunday Maguire has had injuries so far this season, most notably a hamstring problem which kept him out for most of October and November. However, he is back and played well in the Manchester derby, enjoying his role in the new system under Amorim.
