The company plans to stop using plastic bags, elastic bands and the shrink wrap that is usually found around board games by 2022.
Some cities and states have banned plastic bags and several companies have made their own changes to reduce plastic waste.
Toy maker Lego is looking to find an alternative to plastic for its colourful bricks, while Starbucks is planning to get rid of plastic straws. McDonald's phased out plastic straws at its restaurants last year and replaced them with paper ones. Globally, the fast food company has made a commitment to source all packaging from renewable or recycled sources by 2025.
