Policymakers at the European Central Bank appear to have signalled that they’re set to keep rates at their current record high for some time.
Policymakers at the European Central Bank voted to lift their key interest rate by a quarter point to a record high of 4 per cent.
“Earlier this year, President Lagarde defended aggressive rate hikes with the fact that market rates were too low. We believe this to have been the problem for a long time, especially for 10-year yields, which have been held down by market concerns over a US recession and the massive QE stock.
