traded Dejounte Murray to the Pelicans in exchange for Larry Nance Jr., Dyson Daniels, a 2025 first-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick.
Murray is under contract through the 2026–27 season and has a player option for 2027–28 worth $31.3 million. The Hawks, on the other hand, are putting an end to the Murray era in Atlanta. They acquired Murray in a trade with the San Antonio Spurs in June 2022 to pair him with Trae Young. At the time, the Hawks were just one year removed from an Eastern Conference finals appearance and viewed Murray as a piece to make the next step.
