The offer will be in place 'for the foreseeable future'

As rail workers continue to strike in the name of better pay, Hawksmoor has decided to give back in a unique way. The chain, with a venue on Liverpool's Brunswick St, is implementing a new steak deal that will see it lose money because of how cheap it is.

Hawksmoor has decided to "grab the cow by the horns" and offer diners £15 steak and chips in an attempt to alleviate any potential financial worries, specifically geared towards rail workers whose pay will be affected in the strikes. The offer is however open to everyone.Hawksmoor said: "We won’t make any money out of it, but it should help to keep our restaurants – and our hard-working teams – busy, and hopefully gives you a reason to come into town and make a day of it.

"And, if you can’t come to Hawksmoor, consider nipping for lunch somewhere else. The hospitality industry has lost about £3bn since the strikes began and businesses are closing at an increasingly fast rate." The offer is available from Thursday, July 20, until the end of the month but will remain in place for every rail and tube strike day for the foreseeable future. The deal is only available by quoting "Strike Steak" in the notes of an online booking and cannot be made in person.
