Eden Hazard overtakes Premier League legend to become Real Madrid's most expensive transfer
in 2019 on an initial £88.3million deal rising to £142m, Hazard has failed to hit the heights expected of him – scoring just seven goals in 73 matches., due to a number of add-ons being met in his sale from Chelsea, Hazard’s transfer has now eclipsed the £90m Real spent on Bale from Tottenham in 2013.
Still, the former Lille man has no desire in seeking a new adventure, with the news outlet stating he will leave as a free agent when his deal expires at the end of next season. Hazard and his family are well settled in Madrid, with his ten-year-old son Leo recently joining the club’s academy.
