Hazel Irvine who has seen her career in sports reporting span a staggering five decades has explained why she will never use social media
BBC presenter Hazel Irvine has revealed why she will never enter the world of social media , more than 30 years after presenting her first Olympic games.
Despite being a familiar face on our TV screens over the years, the 59-year-old told the Telegraph that she had no intention of ever making the jump to social media. She explained that this was because she wanted to separate her work life from her private life and said "it is hard enough". The popular host was trending on the social media last week as fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, marvelling at her presenting prowess, with one user exclaiming: "Said it before, and I’ll say it again, when it comes to sports broadcasting, Hazel Irvine is quite simply different class. Miss her covering the golf in days gone by, but enjoying her anchoring the afternoon sessions… #Paris2024 #BBCOlympics.
