Plans to build 120 new homes in Kent have met opposition from residents and a parish council.
Headcorn Parish Council has also raised the issue of strained infrastructure, particularly issues with water supplyResidents have compared the expansion near Headcorn to a “concrete jungle being constructed at the bottom of our garden".
Deano English said the infrastructure "can not take any more new housing estates," adding the land regularly flooded. A council spokesperson highlighted existing water-supply issues in the area, arguing additional housing would “further stress an overworked system.” Catesby Estates said it was "striving to create a high quality residential development on the western fringe of Headcorn".
