President of the Philippine Pediatric Society Southern Tagalog Chapter Dr. Maria Carolisa Pontanilla on Thursday, May 11, said they have been receiving reports that some doctors are advising their patients not to get vaccinated. To counter this, Pontanilla explained that all legitimate health professionals are advocates of vaccines.
“We, pediatricians, are all advocates of vaccines. We doctors, especially pediatricians, cannot tell our patients not to get vaccinated," said Pontanilla in a media conference on Thursday in a mix of English and Filipino.
