The Cancer Research UK nurses will visit the Rutherglen Exchange Shopping Centre in May.

Locals can get free tips from nurses at a health roadshow in Rutherglen on how to reduce their risk of cancer and spot it early.

Cancer Research UK senior cancer awareness nurse in Scotland, Jess Cuddy said: “We’re here to help in areas that need us most and we are looking forward to talking to lots of people in Rutherglen about the steps they can take to help reduce their risk of cancer.

“By returning to Rutherglen across the year we are able to provide ongoing support, and people we’ve met can come back and let us know how they’re getting on or ask for further help and signposting.”“You’re more likely to quit smoking for good with help from your local free stop smoking service, together with stop smoking treatment.
