NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet says he believes his healthcare proposals should not be about cost but instead about “policy” and “outcome”.

“It shouldn’t be about state or territory governments going to the federal government, cap in hand, asking for money,” Mr Perrottet told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“What we are seeing across the country are many people not being able to access a GP when and where they need one. “Just in NSW alone, close to 50 per cent of emergency departments are patients who could see their GP.
