A heart breaking search is underway for a man feared to be dead after he slipped and was attacked by a crocodile in Far North Queensland to the horror of his family and children.
Queensland Ambulance on Saturday confirmed emergency services were conducting the search for the man, in his 40s, after he slipped into a water bank while fishing at Crocodile Bend near Mulligan highway in Cooktown about 2pm. A police spokeswoman said the man fell into the water at the popular fishing spot near the Annan River Bridge but did not resurface.
Picture: Supplied He was grabbed by the crocodile with the attack occurring in front of his family, including his children.A 5-metre crocodile is reportedly still visible at the reptile habitat spot as police and local rangers continue their search.
