David Flynn died in February surrounded by his loved ones 💔
David initially wanted to become a horticulturist but he was turned down by the Haslingden parks and recreation department for the work experience he needed to go on and study. His father, Joseph, spotted an advertisement for a position available at Haslingden Observer and encouraged David to give it a try.David joined Haslingden Observer in 1957 and three years later the editor departed which left 18-year-old David to produce the newspaper single-handedly.
