Jamie Meah's partner, Evie, has described the unimaginable pain of raising their son alone after his tragic death at just 18 years old. Ranei Wilks was sentenced to 15 years for manslaughter, but three other men remain at large.
The partner of Jamie Meah has told of her heartbreak at having to raise their child alone after he was killed in a merciless and bloodthirsty attack.
Jamie's partner, Evie, read her victim impact statement to the court in which she told how she had found out she was pregnant just weeks before his death. "I feel a lot of pressure to provide for our son while dealing with such a personal loss...At times I feel broke. It is so heartbroken and it plays on my mind . We had our futures to look forward to. I am so angry with the people who took his life who showed no remorse or care for what we're going through. I hope one day justice is served and they one day understand the pain we are going through.
Following the sentencing, Jamie's family released a statement which said: "Losing Jamie was the worst day of our lives. Jamie was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, partner and friend. Jamie never got the chance to meet his son, and we know he would have made a great dad. He was kind, caring and funny and we all deeply feel the pain of facing the future without him.
