A family have been left devastated after a "loving" and "bubbly" mum-of-three died alone in hospital following a £2,000 gastric sleeve operation in Turkey.
However, when they arrived at hospital, they were given the devastating news that she tragically passed away after suffering another heart attack. The family still don't have answers as to how Leanne's condition deteriorated so rapidly. Her body has since been brought back to the UK where an autopsy is expected to take place.
"My son is very angry. It was very unexpected and you don't expect when you pay thousands of pounds for a medical procedure that this is going to happen. Her daughters are heartbroken." "A friend from school had the procedure in Turkey. She had amazing results and has lost nine stone. Leanne saw the result with her friend and thought she looked amazing. She was looking on Instagram and there are all these wonderful before and after pictures.
"You go on the website and you message this number on Whatsapp and it all gets booked through there as if it’s a hairdressers appointment."
