Police found the front door had been taken off, taps in both bathrooms had been stolen and portions of pipes were ripped out
A youth football club suffered thousands of pounds worth of damage after a 'shameful' burglary. The break-in took place at the Gedling FC clubhouse, in Stoke Lane, Stoke Bardolph, overnight on Saturday, October 8.
He said: "So myself and one of the other coaches arrived to open up and it was the other coach who found the clubhouse and the door had been removed. They forced their way into taking off one of the top brackets and then unscrewed the others and then just left the door at the side. "It's just completely mindless that they'd do it. We're a volunteer-ran place. There are no men's teams it's just teams and we're just gutted that someone would do it to us.
"One of the parents set up a GOFundMe which will help us cover the costs of a new door and locks that had been broken and pipes that need replacing. We're really really grateful for that."
