The Scots comedian has spent the last few weeks in a hospice and it was announced on Saturday morning she had sadly passed away surrounded by her loved ones.
The heartbreaking last picture of Janey Godley showed her receiving an honorary degree.
Janey had been awarded an honorary doctorate and images posted online showed her proudly showing off her new degree while undergoing hospice care.
