Heat Advisory continues with a slight chance for a thunderstorm
Adults and kids cool off from heat in a splash pad at Fergunson Park while a clear sky over Dallas takes feels like temperatures to the triple digits on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. This early summer heat streak continues today with a Heat Advisory in effect. It’ll be hot and humid with highs around 100 with afternoon heat index values of 105 to 110.
However, there’s a chance for a couple of spotty thunderstorms later today. Consider yourself lucky if you see the rain and get the cool-down. Of course the benefit of a thunderstorm today would be the heat relief, but a couple storms could produce strong downburst winds. Most locations will stay dry though.Not much change is expected in our forecast for the next several days. High temperatures will hold near 100 through the weekend.
