Meteorologist Pat Cavlin has what to watch out for in the heat across the Houston area Tuesday.
HOUSTON — With temps and heat indexes rising, theThe heat advisory will be in effect from noon until 8 p.m. and includes Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Washington, Grimes, Liberty, Colorado, Austin, Waller and Wharton counties.What you need to do: drink plenty of fluid, stay indoors with air conditioning if you can and stay out of the sun. Also, make sure to check on those who may be susceptible to heat illnesses.
You should also wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing and try to limit strenuous activities to early morning and evening.Severe Weather Awareness Week: Heat Safety The heat advisory includes the following cities: Prairie View, Wharton, Coldspring, Waller, Conroe, Sealy, Madisonville, College Station, Bryan, Pecan Grove, Weimar, Missouri City, Sugar Land, El Campo, Somerville, Huntsville, The Woodlands, Eagle Lake, Livingston, Rosenberg, Mission Bend, Navasota, Caldwell, Groveton, Liberty, Corrigan, Crockett, Houston, Brenham, Columbus, Bellville, Hempstead, First Colony, Trinity, Brookshire, Cleveland, Dayton and Shepherd.
