A 25-year-old woman who had also been in the car was taken to hospital and is in a serious condition.British Airways pilot ambassador Jai Dillon tweeted:"Thoughts are with the friends and family of the 3 crew who were tragically taken from us last night whilst driving home from work to be with their loved ones for New Year."
It is believed two of the four had finished work at about 6pm while the other two had been on a day off. Police said they were called to the crash in Stanwell - at the junction of Bedfont Road and Long Lane - at 11.39pm.The road is near Heathrow's southern perimeter and was shut on New Year's Day, while work continued to recover the lorry.The lorry was operated by air services provider dnata, which provides catering and cargo services to airlines.
One driver, who did not want to be named, told the Press Association that the road is"bad" and needs widening, adding:"You would be amazed how many accidents have happened down that road."
