Heavy rainfall due to a low pressure area caused at least seven landslides that damaged roads and houses in several barangays in Iligan City, according to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. /PDI

Sitio Olas in Barangay Ubaldo LayaTons of land mass and stones collapse and close the C-3 road along Purok Green Valley in the village of Tubod, Iligan City on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. The DPWH road maintenance team began clearing the debris on Friday.

The access road toward Sitio Green Valley in Barangay Tubod was blocked by mud and rocks after a portion of a nearby hill cracked and slid down. In the Barangay Tomas Cabili, a house that was also used as a church collapsed when the land it was built on caved in.
