Helen Skelton's emotional BBC Strictly Come Dancing transformation as dad spots change in TV star
Strictly Come Dancing's quarter finals are fast approaching, and the show's stars are preparing to dance their way to the TV show's crown.
Months before embarking on the Strictly experience, Helen and ex-husband Richie Myler ended their relationship after eight years of marriage. The couple who have three children, Ernie, seven, and Louis, five and baby Elsie. But even in this early stage of the competition, when most judges would be talking about the technical ways the stars can improve their performances, each judge- Craig, Motsi, Shirley and Anton each spotted Helen's lack of self belief that she could go far in the completion. In week three, movie week, Helen paid tribute to the late Olivia Newton Johnson with a Viennese Waltz racking up a score of 31.
After securing herself in the competition for another week, Helen foxtrotted her way to the Halloween special and despite receiving a score of 32, found herself in the middle of the score board once again. Motsi spotted some impressive traits in Helen's dance and said: "Helen, I adore watching you dance. I just see you getting stronger and stronger."
Shirley spoke to the star and said: "Helen how you've grown from week one to now is just beyond, you've left me speechless. Heading back to co host Claudia Winkelman, Helen said: "For me I came into this to have some joy." In the latest episode of the week Helen revealed after the Blackpool special, the 39-year-old burst into tears while taking a break from rehearsals.
