The player support team for Helldivers 2 have used Batman to help explain why a capeless option will never be added to HD2.
Helldivers 2 fans have a lot of features they would love to see implemented in the game. Customization is something fans desperately want to see Arrowhead expand upon, and an idea some fans have suggested is an on/off toggle to remove capes. Unfortunately, despite The Incredibles’ Edna explaining why capes are bad, Arrowhead has used a comparison to Batman to explain why a capeless option will never be added to Helldivers 2. There is a lot for the HD2 community to anticipate.
If you desire the ability to remove your cape, then the unfortunate news is that the support team responded, “There are no plans to allow players to go around capeless, nor will there ever be”. As for why a capeless option will never be added, the support team explained, “It would simply not be believable in terms of in-game lore that Helldivers would be allowed to take off their capes”.
