Helldivers 2 is getting review bombed again, this time because of the latest round of weapon nerfs in the Escalation of Freedom update.
Although Helldivers 2 has mostly been successful since its launch, the beloved co-op shooter hasn’t completely avoided controversy throughout its relatively short lifespan. This time, Arrowhead Game Studios’ recently released Escalation of Freedom update has caused the game to receive another wave of negative Steam reviews due to the latest batch of weapon nerfs it brought about.
Of course, if you’ve been taking a hiatus from the never-ending fight against Terminids and Automatons, you probably aren’t aware of these recent controversial changes. Luckily, we’re here to get you up to speed on the latest happenings outside of the Galactic War. As part of the Helldivers 2 Escalation of Freedom update patch notes, AGS included nerfs to three popular weapons: the SG-8S Slugger, the GP-31 Grenade Pistol, and the SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary.
