Arrowhead Game Studios has turned the Galactic War issue into part of the storyline after it was discovered following the 1.000.013 update.

The Helldivers 2 story is constantly evolving as the Terminid and Automaton threaten the future Super-Earth with more enemies on the horizon. Following the release of the 1.000.103 update, which fixed many issues including players being able to blow up their own exosuits, new issues arose including the Galactic War tracker not tracking.

The breach has been addressed, and all systems have been returned to normal operation. Any discrepancies are to be considered the result of dissident misinformation. Rest assured that the parties responsible have been identified, arrested, tried, and executed.” Following the completion of the Terminid Control System Major Orders community event, a new Major Orders began which has players tasked with liberating more planets to further the story.
