Helping Herts's 12-day fundraising challenge for charities supporting children's welfare in Hertfordshire is about to get underway.From April 20 to May 2, representatives will walk 156 miles along the scenic Hertfordshire Way, equivalent to six marathons.
Twelve loops, specially crafted by the Friends of The Hertfordshire Way, will be allocated to partner charities, featuring locations like Hartham Common, Bishop's Stortford, and St Albans.Other partner charities include: Coram Life Education, Space Hertfordshire, CHEX, The Phoenix Group, Home Start Hertfordshire, The Ollie Foundation, Herts Mind Network, Keech, For Baby’s Sake, Herts Young Homeless and Grove Cottage.
Gordon Morrison, co-founder of Helping Herts, said:"Every step is a stride toward a brighter future for Hertfordshire's children.Fellow co-founder Jim Tatchell added:"Walking the equivalent of six marathons in 12 days is tough, but the knowledge that Helping Herts is making a real difference will keep us going, rain or shine."A spokesperson said:"Join our team as they walk 13 miles each day over the course of 2 weeks.
